To whoever reads this, please name your favorite pairing. Then think of the genre fantasy (or fantasy-ish). Choose a sub-genre/setting/short prompt that comes to your mind when you think of this pairing.

For example.
Sakumiya - fairies.

Matsumiya - reading minds.

I don't exactly know what I'm going to do with that, but... we'll see ^^

29 weeks! That means 11 weeks to go! Yikes!!!!!

I gotta say: gestational diabetes is a pain in the ass. WANNA HEAR ABOUT IT? complaints complaints complaints )

OTHER THAN THAT, I'm tired a lot and my hips hurt like crazy and I've got some gnarly stretch marks on my stomach. Also my hair is thicker and my nails grow faster. Also I feel huge but people constantly tell me I look really small for seven months, so??? Also here is a list of things I cannot wait to eat again:

→ a salami sandwich
→ runny eggs
→ a cold beer
→ smoked salmon on a bagel

... Anyway.

Been watching a lot of Elementary. Like A LOT. It's really fun and I'm enjoying it a lot.

I have been to the dentist a lot recently and all of the appointments have been fine except for one which was the only one not with my usual dentist and, whether this is coincidental or not, it was terrible in every way and the teeth in question still hurt which is impressive particularly because they didn't actually hurt before the appointment and I have some regret-like feelings of dread that I'm going to move on from now okay yes good.

About to start my last week of work, which is bad because that means no more money but is good because I am feeling very tired and overwhelmed recently, so more me time sounds like a great idea.

I'm working on a fic thing and it's a big project and I am planning on finishing it by Jun's birthday but we'll see.

... This is a very complainy post but overall I'm doing pretty okay. It's just that the frustrating things are really, really frustrating. I'm going to end this post now but I love you all!!!

Hello everyone,

how are you doing? I hope everything is alright?

It's so hot in my country at the moment, but it's summer after all, right? =)

I have one week to go till I'll have two weeks of holiday again *yeahhh* and I have a lot of timefor writing at the moment. <3 That's makes me much happier :D :D

I finished a short multi chapter based on a wish meme prompt from [personal profile] kittykaty <3 and I finished the poll story. My exchange story is also almost done and I started writing another multi, but I am not sure how it'll go on *lol*

I will finish posting my Sakumoto multi till the end of the next week and I want to finish one of the other two before I'll start posting something new. :)

What are you writing at the moment? And are there some more Aiba centric stories somehwere out there, which are going to be posted any time soon? (because I already suffer of the lack of Aiba centric stories :( )

Have a nice weekend,

I was looking at the reveals post from last year in which I bored you all with my woes about how hard a season it was, and today-me just was like "oh self, little did you realize". But, well, what started last year ended this year, so if nothing else, I won't have the same worries next year. XD.

Anyway, I feel like I'm constantly thanking you and apologizing to you for being awesome despite my being the worst, but here we are again: Thank you, and I'm sorry. Y'all are great, from the writers to the readers to the general cheerleaders, and I hope you had a good time despite everything.

Of course, the usual thank yous go out to my beta crew, and especially to our pinch hitters during what was a rough year for everyone: [ profile] lover_youshould (perpetual pinch hitting star of NinoEx), and [ profile] airairo and [ profile] calerine (who both came to the rescue despite being very busy and not even signing up for the exchange this year). How's a mod supposed to face humanity when she's got friends like these!

Anyway, I know what you're all here for.

Reveals~ )

In addition, this year was our first year on the nicer, friendlier DW (with full mirrors on LJ). How did you like it? Should we stay here, go back to LJ, move to AO3, something else entirely? With the Rapidly Changing Internet comes many, many growing pains, but I want to keep this community as accessible as possible. Any thoughts on this front would be greatly appreciated! :3.

That's all, folks. Until next year!

Here is a half-assed introduction post for you. Maybe I'll fix it later (but probably not).

Val, 31, USA. Main fandom since 2009: Arashi. Almost all my posts these days are personal posts, though, and access-locked. Open to new friends but also willing to say no if I don't think we click.

Also, [personal profile] topazera and I are doing a(nother) drama-finishing challenge, fyi. It starts July 13th and our under-construction no-pressure comm is [community profile] ups_and_downs. All are welcome, friends or not! <3

 To be potentially watched:

Arakawa Under the Bridge - (2/10)
Osen - (4/10)

This time I think I need to play more conservatively because I don't have that many dramas started that I want to finish and set my goal at... six!

CHALLENGE STARTED. I am aiming to finish ten dramas. As of right now, there are only very mild spoilers in my post and comments.

Here is my full drama list (completed, in progress, and to watch someday). I made a resolution to watch things only in Japanese for 2017, so my challenge this time will be entirely jdramas. <3

Dramas in progress )

Tentative list of dramas: Shinigami-kun, Keizoku, Kyou wa Kaisha Yasumimasu, Limit, Virgin Road, Boku Unmei no Hito Desu
Maybes: Legal High, Long Vacation, Switch Girl
Potentially good things to get finished with this motivation: BOSS 2, Asuko March, Jin 2
Potentially good dramas to pick as one to both start and finish: Love Revolution, Gomen ne Seishun, Saikou no Rikon

Drama Finishing Challenge

A low-key, no-pressure quest!

Challenge start date: July 13th.
Challenge end date: August 31st.

In which we try to finish dramas. Everyone will have their own post and can keep track of their own drama-watching in the comments of it as they please. Maybe put your goals in the post, and then have a comment thread for each drama you're going to try to finish... but actually you can do it however you want! Please note in your main post if there are any spoilers in the comments.

There will probably be check-in posts (at intervals to be decided).

If you watch an episode that's particularly noteworthy or finish a drama you want to recommend, you can make a post about it (with an appropriate cut). You also don't have to do this!

You can look here to see how we've done this a couple times before.

To sum up:

1. Join the community.
2. Make a post with your goal.
3. Use the comments of that post to track your drama-watching.
4. Watch dramas.
